Graphy deviates from Graphic - relating to visual art, especially involving drawing, engraving, or lettering./giving clear and vividly explicit details./a graphical item displayed on a screen or stored as data.

Graphic - In general, the term graphic refers to a design or visual image displayed on a variety of surfaces, including canvas, paper, walls, signs, or a computer monitor. They are created for entertainment, branding, or providing information

Purpose of Chromatography - To separate the components of a mixture for later use, and is thus a form of purification.
